The term Sic Transit is taken from the Baroque epitaphs. It means “see how it goes.”
The project shows-using a video projection on two channels, a series of photographs and sculptural prototype stage design which blends art, design and fashion, and which shows the roaming uses of the post-industrialized societies to propose a memento mori: a reminder of the approach of death. In this way the image of the house is associated with a portable suitcase, evoking the temporary and ephemeral character of our life.
Sic Transit received the Fine Arts Prize from the Madrid County and it was shortlisted in the V Prize of photography El Cultural del Mundo. In addition it was exhibited at the Cervantes Institute, New York, in 2003 and t The Queens Museum of Arts, New York, in 2004.
